Biafra: Again, IPOB's Nnamdi Kanu Speaks On Southern Preside

Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu has branded the quest for Southern Presidency "diversionary", AllNews reports.

Kanu, the self-exiled leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) said this on his known Twitter handle on Friday.

According to the 53-year-old, "the transitory allure of power shift to the South has blinded Southern politicians to how far gone Nigeria has become islamized".

Kanu, therefore, insists that "a Southern President will always be impotent".

This newspaper understands that Kanu is advocating for the dissolution of Nigeria, as against the goal of some Southern politicians who believe a Nigerian presidency coming to the South-East in 2023 will be in the region's best interest.

Indigenous People of Biafra grouses

- The incessant killing of South-Southerners and South-Easterners in their own land.

- Killing of South-Southerners and South-Easterners in the Northern hemisphere by extremists.

- Systematic oppression and economic emasculation of Igbos.

- Illegal detention of agitators and extrajudicial killings of IPOB members, among other things.
