The First Lady of Adamawa State, Hajiya Lami Fintiri, has voted in the gubernatorial and state assembly elections in Madagali Local Government Area of the state.
The First Lady voted at her polling unit in Gari Ward A at Gulak of the LGA.
Hajiya Fintiri, after casting her vote, called on people to remain calm and orderly.
She further appealed to them to remain peaceful to ensure hitch-free conduct of the election.
This was contained in a statement by Ishaya Bitrus, media aide to the First Lady, on Saturday.
According to Bitrus, Hajiya Fintiri explained that without peace and harmony, socio-economic development would not be achieved.
She also cautioned against violence, adding that it only brings backwardness.
The First Lady expressed satisfaction with the election process while wishing the people a successful election.
