Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has been blamed for the billions of dollars bent spent on imports in the country.
PDP stalwart Reno Omokri who has pointed accusing fingers at the former Anambra governor opined that many of the things being imported are stuff that can be made locally.
One of the things Obi has emphasised his administration would do if he becomes president in 2023 is that Nigeria's status would be changed from consumption to production.
But Omokri, who never fails to tackle Obi, took to his Twitter page on Friday to ponder how the latter would do the above when he is one of the nation's biggest imports.
"Because of importers, like Peter Obi, Nigeria spends billions of dollars importing what we can make locally, like toothpicks, champagne, wines, tomato paste, etc.
"Almost everything at his Next is imported. Yet he wants to move Nigeria from consumption to production?", Omokri's post reads.
