The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo is set to meet the Senate members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over his presidential ambition today.
The VP will also meet with some House of Representatives members of the APC tomorrow, Wednesday, to conclude sitting with the two chambers.
Osinbajo had earlier declared interest to run for the office of the president of Nigeria during the 2023 election.
He said he was contesting to continue from where president Muhammadu Buhari had stopped.
The letter of invitation from the VP was read at the Senate plenary on Tuesday by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
Lawan revealed that the letter was signed by the leader of the Senate, Yahaya Abdullahi.
He further stated that the meeting was slated for today at the statehouse banquet hall in Abuja.
The letter which was also served to the house of representatives read partly, “In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan it will be my great pleasure to host you and all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the federal House of Representatives to the Iftar/Easter dinner on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.”
It was read by the Deputy Speaker of the house of representatives, Ahmed Wase.
