The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed why its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, intends to sell the nation's refineries if elected in 2023.
The disclosure was made by the Spokesman of the PDP’s Presidential Campaign Council, Kola Ologbondiyan.
According to him, Atiku wants the refineries sold because the money would fund useful ventures in the country.
While making an appearance on Arise TV Morning Show on Tuesday, Ologbondiyan stated that the federal government has been wasting funds trying to refurbish oil refineries in the country.
“Rather than looking for money and pumping it into ventures and refineries that are not working, Atiku is saying, why not sell them and invest in ventures that are working?
“Atiku is saying let us generate funds from the sales of refineries and put it into the economy; I believe that policy is good.”
