2024 Hajj: Governor Sule bids farewell to intending pilgrims, urges prayer for Tinubu

Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule has bade farewell to intending pilgrims from his state leaving the country on Wednesday to perform the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

Addressing the intending pilgrims on Tuesday in Lafia, the state capital, Governor Sule urged them to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Governors in the country to tackle the country's challenges.

He also urged them to pray for peace, unity and success of his administration and that of President Tinubu.

The governor further commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, for selecting the state to be among the inaugural flight to the Holy Land for two consecutive years.

Governor Sule also applauded the commitment of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in coordinating the exercise. He felicitated the 1,758 intending pilgrims for being chosen by Allah to perform the Hajj which is one of the pillars of Islam.


On his part, the Executive Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Idris Ahmed Al-Makura appreciated the governor for his support towards the success of the exercise.

He said: “As it has been in the past, Gov. Abdullahi Sule had given the board all the necessary support and had supported the intending Pilgrims in the areas of accommodation and transportation to ease pilgrimage."
