The Adamawa State Deputy Governor-Elect, Professor Kelatapwa G. Farauta, has held a thanksgiving service ahead of the May 29 inauguration in the state.
She dedicated her victory alongside her boss, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, to God, promising to always magnify Him.
The Thanksgiving service was held on Sunday at the St Theresa's Catholic Church in Yola, the state's capital.
During the service, the deputy Governor-elect declared that she would only be satisfied when she sees God glorified.
Farauta appreciated the church leaders under the aegis of the Adamawa State Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) for their prayers.
“I stand on behalf of my Boss, the executive governor of Adamawa state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to ask for your prayers and never to leave us go astray," she added.
Muhammad B. Tukur, New Media aide to the governor, made this known in a statement.
According to Tukur, in his earlier remark, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese and the state's CAN chairman, Most Reverend Dr Dami Mamza said, the special thanksgiving service was to offer prayers for the incoming administration of Governor Fintiri and Farauta.
The CAN chairman further commended the deputy governor-elect for "performing extremely wonderful during her tenure as Vice Chancellor of the Adamawa State University Mubi."
He further charged her to double her efforts when inaugurated as the deputy governor of the State.
Speaking on the topic, “Becoming Christ's Witnesses", the CAN chairman called on all Christians to live a life that will portray the life of Christ in them.
Present at the thanksgiving service were the Chief of Staff, Professor Maxwell Gidado, Deputy Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and some members of the Adamawa state executive council.
