The new Assistant Inspector General of Police has pledged to flush out all criminal elements in the zone.
Muhammed Akeera made this known on resumption of office as the new AIG in charge of the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 17, Akure.
Zone 17 comprises Ondo and Ekiti States.
Akeera in a chat with newsmen promised that the police would cooperate with other security agencies to protect the lives and property of the people of the zone.
While describing the two states as peaceful and blessed, he added that the police would do everything to maintain the peace being enjoyed in both states.
The new AIG also solicited the cooperation of members of the public through volunteering useful information about criminals to the police in the zone.
