The Supreme Court is poised to give its judgment in Rotimi Amaechi's suit seeking to stop his probe into the alleged N96 billion fraud and fraudulent sales of valued assets belonging to Rivers State.

According to a hearing notice at the Apex Court, the decision will be handed down on Friday morning.

Per reports, Amaechi is currently embroiled in a battle with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, who is bent on making him appear before a probe panel to investigate the former's tenure in office.

The notice was served on Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, SAN, who is a leader in a team of lawyers for Amaechi, while that of Rivers State was delivered to Emmanuel Ukala, SAN, for Wike.

The date for the judgment was fixed by Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, who led a seven-man panel of Justices of the court.
