A bill for the establishment of the Anambra Multi-Door Courthouse has scaled second reading at the Anambra State House of Assembly.

The bill seeks to enhance access to justice by providing alternative mechanisms to supplement litigation in the resolution of disputes through the establishment of a Multi-Door Courthouse.

While presenting the bill for second reading during plenary, the Majority Leader of the House, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor noted that the bill will minimize citizen frustration and delays in justice delivery by providing a standard legal framework for the fair and efficient settlement of disputes using Multi-Door Courthouse.

The Deputy Speaker of the House, Dr. Paschal Agbodike expressed confidence that the bill when passed will bring lasting peace to troubled communities and homes in the state.

The bill was referred to the House committee on judiciary to do further work on it and report to the House.
