A boat transporting 23 Egyptians and Syrian migrants capsized in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Libya.
The development was reported on Monday by the Middle East Monitor.
19 people were said to be missing and presumed dead, a local organisation concerned with aiding migrants disclosed.
Also, the Tobruk-based Foundation for Migrant Assistance and Humanitarian Services said on Facebook that 1 body was retrieved, 3 rescued while the search continues for the 19 others.
Asriwa Saleh, the Foundation's Executive Director also said and added that bad weather had greatly affected the search.
In recent months, many people have drowned off the coast of Libya in an attempt to reach Europe.
