CEO Celebrates As Yobe Microfinance Bank Scales CBN Assessment

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Yobe Microfinance Bank, Dr Sheriff Muhammad Ibrahim, has celebrated the bank's success in scaling through assessment by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The CEO congratulated the people of Yobe State for the success recorded in which 132 Microfinance Banks lost their operating licence following the CBN assessment.

This was contained in a statement sighed by him on Wednesday.

He also hoped that the CBN would reverse its decision on the affected banks after they fulfill requirements for the assessment.

Ibrahim further reiterated the bank's commitment towards satisfying its customers.

The CEO also appreciated the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, for his continuous support to the bank. 

"Congratulations to Yobians as Yobe Microfinance Bank Scales through another stage of CBN Assessment as 132 Microfinance Banks losses operating licence and 47 revoked license.

"While we hope this decision by the apex Bank CBN is going to be reversed and the affected banks will meet up with the requirements to compete in the financial sector for the benefit of the region and the country.

"The Management of Yobe MFB will continue to work hard and strive to try to meet our l customers' demands and expectations while ensuring that requirements sets as prerequisites for CBN Assessment are complied.

"Let me also use this opportunity to call on our customers to comply with our system of loan repayments and meet up with the agreed loan terms to enable us to work effectively.
