The political scene is tough and Nigerians don’t know what else to believe.

Is Justice Kayode Ariwoola, the Chief Justice of Nigeria in the UK disguising himself to meet the All Progressives Congress (APC) or in Nigeria threading cases at the apex court as shreds of media outlets are reporting?

People's Gazette gazetted the Nigerians' emotions yesterday.

The platform pumped our minds and raised suspicions that the Supreme Court of Nigeria is the APC and President-elect's feeding bottle.

Its exclusive story had the headline “CJN Ariwoola Disguises on Wheelchair in London Hotel for Secret Meeting with Bola Tinubu.”

In a country where half of its entire news consumers read only headlines, the memo was clear that Bola Tinubu and the court is planning a plot to influence justice.

But today, it was revealed that Justice Kayode Ariwoola after leaving the Supreme Court went to the mosque for Jumaat prayer.

Ariwoola was spotted observing his prayers at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Central Mosque in Abuja.

In retrospect, seeking the truth on the matter could be very tricky.

There are lots of questions on this matter that have come to mind.

Sahara Reporters earlier reported that Tinubu had been sneaked out of the country to a hospital in France.

How is it that the Chief Justice of Nigeria would have been waiting for him in England?

Removing facts from fiction, there is a lot everyone involved in the development is not telling ordinary Nigerians.

On the other side of the divide, why should Tinubu be planning to go to London where the Chief Justice was also at the time?

According to foremost lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Ahmed Raji, the CJN went to London on Saturday for his routine medical check-up and returned to Nigeria on Thursday morning.

A Press Statement issued by the Director, Media and Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga on Thursday refuted the report of the clandestine meeting with a claim that the President-elect left Nigeria on Tuesday and has not been to London till Thursday when the CJN arrived back in Nigeria.

Making it make sense

Nigerins don’t know who is making their stories up; an important truth they deserve because the tensions are high.

People’s Gazzette should come up with other evidences aside from the picture because the shot could have been taken anytime.

Their inside sources should also give more revealing evidence to support their claims.

The fact that Tinubu was in London is also suspicious.

The president-elet and his team should clear the air with stong statements to displace the unfounded allegation if it is.

If it is false, the media platforms piloting the defamation and disrespect to the judiciary in the name of non-factual investigative journalism and click baits should be curtailed and own up to misleading the public.

At this time, what Nigerians need is national peace as opposed to politcal points, media confusion and ethnic soldiering that the development in the last 24 hours have brought.
