The nightlife promoter and Lagos socialite, Cubana Chief Priest will be arraigned today April 17, before Kehinde Ogundare, a judge of the federal high court in Lagos.

Allnews.ng yesterday reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has filed a three-count charge against him for alleged abuse of the Nigerian currency.

Cubana, born Pascal Okechukwu, is accused of spraying and tampering with the naira at a social event, contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

The social media celebrity is well known for his luxurious lifestyle. He served as the general manager of Cubana Groups but left the brand in September 2020 and established Club Xhrine in Owerri, Imo State.

The arraignment of the Lagos based socialite came after the prosecution of popular Nigeria Crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky.

Allnews.ng had reported that Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos last Friday 12th of April sentenced the cross-dresser to six months in jail with no option of fine.

Recall that on April 5th, EFCC arraigned Bobrisky in court on a six-count charge ranging from abuse of the Naira and money laundering. The court, however, dismissed the money laundering charges but convicted him for Naira Abuse after he confessed to the crime.
