Nigerian singer Davido has stirred up a storm of reactions on social media following his recent remarks, where he referred to fellow artiste Burna Boy as a ‘new cat’ in the music industry.

“Everybody knows I was one of the first, me and Wizkid, to blow up.
“It feels good seeing the new cats coming up. Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun.
“A lot of new cats coming and killing it. Asake; he is on my album. I think the future of Afrobeats is in good hands,” Davido said.
“Wizkid and I were the first young artistes to blow up and it feels good seeing new cats like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun and Asake kllling it now”
