Labour Party and its presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi have tendered the election results of Rivers and Kogi States at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).
At the resumed proceedings on Friday, Obi's lead counsel informed the court sitting in Abuja that he had a schedule of more evidence to back their claim that President Bola Tinubu did not win the election.
He then continued with evidence (election results) from Rivers and Kogi States while presenting certified true copies of INEC election results from six local government areas (LGAs) in Rivers as evidence.
The court also admitted results from Niger, Adamawa, Oyo, Bayelsa, and Edo states tendered by the LP.
Additional certified true copies of election results from Bida LGA of Niger and 21 LGAs in Adamawa were also presented by the petitioner.
Ignoring the objection of the first, second and third respondents, the court admitted the documents as evidence.
It also awaited the arguments of the respondents who were opposed to the admissibility of the documents.
Further provided as evidence were the results of eight LGAs in Bayelsa, 31 LGAs in Oyo, and 18 LGAs in Edo.
More evidence from 20 LGAs in Lagos, was submitted by the LP and the party argued that their votes were under-counted.
Present in the court were Obi and the LP National Chairman, Julius Abure.
