The Federal Government through its National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has commenced the training of Court of Appeal Justices on digitization.

The Director-General NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa who represented the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami said the training was to give the judiciary a sense of belonging in the ongoing digitization project in the country.

He added that it was part of the ministry's plan to connect all departments and ministries of the federation.

The Minister who noted the importance of the judiciary in actualizing the digitization project, said, “The rise in threats of ungoverned spaces which have pervaded the world has necessitated the need for the NITDA to collaborate with the Court of Appeal through a comprehensive capacity building for its Justices to protect the country’s democracy and security."

He further stated, “It’s imperative for the judiciary as a strategic partner in the development of the nation’s economy to fully embrace the adoption of Information and Communications Technology to improve its work processes and enhance productivity."
