The Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Engr. Ebere Udeagu has passed at the age of 79.
Udeagu served as deputy governor to the former Governor of the State, Achike Udenwa from 1999 to 2007.
He was a trained water engineer and hailed from Ihube in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
Udeagu, according to reports, died in Owerri in the early hours of Monday.
Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo State, in his condolence message, described Udeagu’s death as saddening.
