To combat gender-based violence (GBV), the Federal University Dutsin-ma (FUDMA), Katsina State, has vowed to work with the Women's Right Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA).

Professor Armaya'u Hamisu-Bichi, the University Vice-Chancellor (VC), stated this during a meeting with WRAPA officials and university stakeholders, according to the institution's Public Relations Officer, Habib Umar-Amin.

Prof. Hamisu-Bichi stated that the university would strategically implement both intellectual and professional modalities to curb the menace.

Dr Ahmed Shuaibu, the Dean of Students Affairs who represented the VC noted the university's success in convincing parents to send their daughters to the university through the Centre for Gender Studies.

Hamisu-Bichi thanked WRAPA for considering the university worthy of partnership and restating its commitment to protecting women and girls from violence.
