Gombe Police Places Robust Security Measures Ahead May Of 29 Inauguration

The Gombe State Police Command has placed robust security measures to ensure the security of the upcoming May 29, 2023, inauguration at Pantami Stadium in the state's metropolis.

The State's Commissioner of Police, CP Oqua Etim made this known on Sunday, in a statement signed by ASP Mahid Mu'azu Abubakar, spokesperson of the command.

He said the Command has implemented a comprehensive security plan to provide a secure environment for all attendees and participants.

He explained that some of the security measures taken by the command is to increase the presence of its men through collaboration with other sister security agencies in the state.

The Commissioner further emphasized the importance of cooperation between the attendees and the security personnel. 


He urged everyone to adhere to the instructions provided by the security forces to ensure a safe and successful event. 

The CP further issued a warning to individuals or groups with criminal intentions, advising them to stay away from the venue and the state as a whole.

"To ensure the safety and security of all attendees and participants, the Gombe State Police Command has implemented the following measures:

"- Increased Police Presence: The Command has coordinated with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to provide a visible and robust security presence throughout the inauguration.

"- Strict Access Control: All attendees and participants will be subject to thorough security screenings, and certain areas may be restricted to authorized personnel only.


"- Emergency Response Plan: The Command has developed an emergency response plan in the event of any incident or threat, and has trained its staff and security personnel to respond quickly and effectively in any situation," the command spokesperson stated.

The command further appreciated "the public's understanding and cooperation in these efforts to maintain security and looks forward to a successful and safe inauguration."
