IBEDC Announces Power Outages In Kwara Communities

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has notified its customers within the Kwara Region that there will be power outages as a result of a technical fault on the Ganmo 2.5MVA transformer.

It also noted that heavy rainstorm has also affected the Sobi/Poly 33kV feeder, Gambari, Specialist, Kulende, Oke-Oyi and poly 11kV feeders.

In a public announcement signed by IBEDC Kwara Region and obtained by AllNews, it noted that the technical fault on the Ganmo 2.5 MVA Transformer will affect customers in Igbaja, Yaru, Oke lya, Bayero, Adanla, Offa Rinse, Jobi, Memudu, Oroki and environs as they will experience a power outage.

IBEDC also stated that customers in UITH Oke Oyi, Kwara Poly, Shao, Oloru, Alagbado, Specialist, Sobi Poly, Immaculate, Temidere, Jagun, Sefura, Lanre Gada, Kulende, Oyun, Oke Oyi, Oke Ose, NNPC and environs will also experience power outage as a result of the heavy rainstorm which affected Sobi/Poly 33kV feeder, Gambari, Specialist, Kulende, Oke-Oyi and poly 11kV feeders.

While apologising for the inconvenience, the electricity company assured that its technical team is working to ensure that power supply is restored.
