Independence: Ganduje Urges Nigerians To Renew Faith

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje says Nigerians need to stick together and build a stronger country while they
renew their faith in their togetherness.

This was part of the Governor's Saturday speech at the Independence Day celebration.

“I wish to use this opportunity to call on Nigerians more than ever before that we must renew our belief in Nigeria and play our part diligently.

“We all need one another. We must play our part persistently in this trying time to keep Nigeria as one strong nation,” he said.

According to him, the peace being enjoyed in the state has contributed to the boost in commercial activities.

“So, as you see, we are enjoying relative peace in Kano.

"This is as a result of synergy among security agencies in this state.

“I call on you to maintain this peace among all the people in this state, irrespective of religious and tribal background.

“We should be brothers’ keepers and together contribute to the development of this state and the nation at large,” the governor said.

He also appreciated the efforts of security agents in dealing with insurgency, banditry and kidnappings in the country.

The governor called on residents to volunteer information and report suspicious people to security agencies in the state.

Ganduje reiterated his administration's commitment in supporting security agencies and protecting lives and property.

He urged the people of the state to continue to pray for peace, unity and progress of the country.

He further pledged government's continue  commitments to providing quality healthcare services, education and also boost agriculture.
