Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has flagged-off off ₦100 Million scholarship grant to 4,260 Indigenes of the Gaya emirate in the state.
At the flagging off of the disbursement on Wednesday, Ganduje said the gesture is to support the student's education and ensure they become responsible members of society.
He told the students that their future matters and that they should use the money judiciously to ensure the aim is achieved.
While appreciating the government's gesture, the Emir of Gaya, Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir noted that educating the young should be the responsibility of all.
He admonished philanthropists and other good sons of the soil to help the young ones achieve the needed education.
