President William Ruto has finally broken his silence on the Supreme Court ruling on LGBTQ rights and the ongoing debate surrounding the subject, saying that Kenya will never accept such practices.

President Ruto stated that LGBTQ practices will not be tolerated in Kenya because they are inconsistent with the nation's traditions and beliefs while speaking on Thursday during International Women's Day.

The President stated that Kenya would not permit same-sex relationships even though they respected the courts.

"We respect our courts but our traditions and beliefs do not allow same-sex relationships.

"That will not happen in Kenya, it may happen elsewhere but not in this country,” President Ruto stated.

“I will not allow men to compete with women for other men,” he said.

Additionally, President Ruto urged religious authorities to speak out and take a strong stance against the LGBTQ agenda that is being promoted on various platforms.

"I want to ask our religious leaders to stand firm and educate our children, our people so that we don’t lose our beliefs and way of life to foreign practices,” the President added.

The Supreme Court's decision on LGBTQ rights was deemed demonic by deputy president and commentator Rigathi Gachagua.

DP Gachagua Gachagua, who is renowned for being direct with his opinions, claimed the Supreme Court's decision left him speechless and was the reason he was unable to respond right away.
