Kuje Prison Break: Show Of Force, Expectations Of Horror

The well-coordinated Kuje prison break is nothing short of showing the superiority of intelligence gathering, better coordination and deep rootedness of terror activities in Nigeria, and yes, this also takes a lot of guts, not bravery, but guts.

The Ansaru group, or bandits, or terrorists or unknown gunmen (the armed group has taken many forms, shapes and names that they all sound the same) has driven a nail down the very core of the Nigerian security system, exposing flaws and laxity on many layers from players in the affected sectors.

There could be many theories going on now, that many they have an inside man, which could possibly be true, but the major concern now is the fate of the remaining 50 Abuja-Kaduna train wreck victims being kept alive as bargaining chips to secure the release of now free Boko Haram members.

The prison facility was reported to be bombed by heavy artilleries-bombs, rockets, and sophisticated guns, you know the kind of stuff you see in the American vs Russia movies.

With the kind of reported damages done, there is almost no hope that the victims would live long enough to tell the tale of their ordeal.

On Wednesday, the Ansaru group has threatened to start executing the kidnapped train victims by slaughtering them, like some rams or chickens for a festival-my heart cannot help but ache for the horror they are about to see, and their families.

There was a time when the Nigerian Army spoke about swapping the children of the terror group members with the victims. This may just be their second chance to live-that is after those that can afford a ransom have their families pay up.

If the Nigerian Army still has those children, then there might just be a chance of survival for the kidnap victims, that is if they care enough about the lives of their offspring.

But as it is, should the group keep its promise of executing these victims, a trail of pain and an unspeakable horror is about to unfold, very real for them (victims) and their families, damaging to the online population.
