Odili declares Gov Fubara as Rivers political leader

Former Rivers State governor, Dr. Peter Odili, has officially endorsed Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the current political leader of the state, praising him for his steadfast defence of the interests of Rivers people.

Odili made this endorsement during the commissioning of a Comprehensive Primary Health Centre in Ndoni, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of the state. Read more here.

Senate President, Akpabio mourns ex-minister, Ogbonnaya Onu

The Nigerian Senate President, Senator Godswill Obong Akpabio has sent his heartfelt condolences to the family of the former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Chief Ogbonnaya Onu.

FG pledges 6,000MW electricity boost in six months

Bandits attack Benue community, kill two

OPEC reports marginal increase in crude oil production in March

OPEC's crude oil production rose by 3,000 barrels per day (bpd) in March compared to February, with Iran and Saudi Arabia seeing slight boosts while Iraq exceeded its expected output levels.

According to OPEC's Monthly Oil Market Report (MOMR), all 12 OPEC members, including Iran, Libya, and Venezuela exempt from OPEC+ cuts, averaged 26.60 million bpd in March, up 3,000 bpd from February. Read more here.

Dosunmu fire: Six buildings collapsed, 16 others affected — LASEMA

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has said the fire at Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island led to the collapse of six buildings.

Olubadan to be ratified on Friday

The Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, barring unforeseen circumstances will be ratified to become the Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday (today).
