The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) will not be released for the Oyo State local government election.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has budgeted $25 million to counter terrorism in Nigeria, Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso in 2024.
