Lawan felicitates new Sardaunan Dutse as Shettima, Buhari attend turbaning ceremony

The Former President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has felicitated the new Sardaunan Dutse, Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Danu on his appointment by the Emir of Dutse, His Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sanusi.

He described the new Sardaunan Dutse in Jigawa State as a man of integrity, adding that his appointment was well deserved. 

The former Senate leader who is also the current Senator representing Yobe North Senatorial District expressed optimism that the new Sardaunan Dutse will usher in new development for the Dutse Emirate. 

As contained in a statement he signed on Thursday, Lawan said: "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my dear brother and friend, Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Danu, OFR, on the momentous occasion of being turbaned as Sarduanan Dutse by the Emir of Dutse, His Highness, Alh. Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sanusi, CFR. 

"Your appointment as Sarduanan Dutse is well-deserved and I have no doubt that you will carry out your duties with the utmost integrity and diligence as you always have. Your leadership and vision will undoubtedly bring positive change and progress to the people of Dutse Emirate.

The turbaning ceremony was attended by Vice President, Kashim Shettima and Former President, Muhammadu Buhari and Former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

The Vice President who was the Special Guest of Honour at the turbaning ceremony was received at the Dutse International Airport by the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi.
