Usman made the call on Friday in Doma when he hosted members of the Child Rights Committee, a Non-Governmental organization (NGO).

The Head of the council who noted that education is important to human and societal development made a commitment to collaborate with any organization with the objective of positively impacting the lives of the local community.

Usman acknowledged the establishment of an NGO aimed at providing humanitarian aid to the vulnerable in the community as a positive development.

He stated that the council is prepared to partner with the NGO, given its well-defined programs targeted at bringing relief to those affected by unforeseen circumstances in the locality.

The chairman urged residents to avoid negative behaviours that could not only harm the lives of the common people but also impede the progress of Doma and the state as a whole.

Earlier, Patience Essela, the coordinator of the organization in Doma Local Government Area, said that the visit was meant to inform the council of their activities and request their support in carrying out their work effectively.

The coordinator stated that the organization has been involved in various initiatives, including offering assistance to HIV and AIDS patients, children who have dropped out of school, victims of rape, hospital bills, and enrollment for JAMB and WAEC, among other interventions.
