NYSC Osun State gears up for Batch A Stream II orientation course

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State is gearing up for the 2024 Batch A Stream II orientation course.

This was disclosed by the State Coordinator, Agbor Ndoma Obim during a meeting in Osogbo on Monday.

The 2024 Batch A Stream II Orientation Course is set to commence on Wednesday, April 17.

Joined by supervisors, heads of assignments, and collaborating agencies, Agbor said the gathering was aimed at ensuring a smooth and successful orientation for the incoming corps members.

Emphasising the importance of teamwork, Agbor urged all stakeholders to work together seamlessly.

He discouraged extortion and encouraged constructive disagreement to achieve consensus.

"There is the need for accommodation, tolerance, and forgiveness. The quantity and quality of food provided would remain uncompromised," be assured.

In her address, the Camp Director, Mary Adebesin, underscored the dynamic nature of each orientation course, reflecting the diverse backgrounds and needs of Corps Members.

She also advocated exemplary supervision, prioritising both physical and mental health through meditation and physical training.

Adebesin emphasised the importance of leading by example, encouraging active participation in camp programs and timely reporting.

Echoing the sentiment of unity, Major John Itudo, the Camp Commandant, emphasised the need for bond among stakeholders.

"I urge everyone to remain prayerful and vigilant. The collaborative efforts of agencies in ensuring a successful orientation is very necessary."

The meeting also featured an appraisal of the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 orientation course, comments and suggestions from the various supervisors and heads geared towards achieving success in the forthcoming orientation.
