Osun monarch, the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude has been earmarked for conferment of a national honour.
The honour, the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) will be conferred on the Osun monarch by outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was contained in a circular published by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs on Sunday.
The monarch made number 35 on the list of the recipients of the award.
Buhari recently conferred national honours on the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and the Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima.
Tinubu was conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) while Shettima was honoured with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).
