The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, welcomed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, to the region on Tuesday.
Obi's visit to the state was made known in a tweet by the aforementioned party, where it was disclosed that the former governor was on a quest to begin his presidential campaign in the area.
"Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma welcomes the People's President @PeterObi to the Eastern Heartland for @NgLabour 2023 Presidential Campaign Flag-off.
"Even APC knows the next President of Nigeria. A New Nigeria is Possible! Forward Ever! Vote Labour Party!", the Twitter post reads.
Obi recently unveiled his 72-page manifesto, outlining the areas that he intends to tackle to make Nigeria a producing country and not just a nation that consumes.
