President Muhammadu Buhari has appreciated the people of Kebbi State for their unflinching support since he came to power in 2015.
The Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, conveyed the president's message when he visited the state on Sunday.
Gambari conveyed the message to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar in Birnin Kebbi, the state's capital.
Upon arrival, Gambari had visited the state's Government House before visiting the Emir to pay homage in company of governor Bagudu.
Receiving them, the Emir prayed for peace and security for the nation while praying to God to continue to guide and protect the country's leaders.
This was contained in a statement by Yahaya Sarki, spokesperson to the governor, on Monday.
According to Sarki, Gambari said he was mandated by the president to visit and appreciate the people of the state for their unwaivering support to his administration.
He noted that the president has improved the country's agricultural sector for food security.
He added that president Buhari has also succeeded in the diversification of Nigeria's economy for the nation's growth.
Meanwhile, governor Bagudu who hosted him at the State's Government House, appreciated him for the visit.
