President Buhari Receives, Commends APC Governors

President Muhammadu Buhari has received the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors under the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) at the State House.

The delegation was led by Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and his Jigawa State counterpart, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.

Receiving them on Thursday, the President commended the governors for their efforts in promoting good governance and delivering dividends of democracy to the people of their respective states. 

He also urged them to continue working hard to ensure that the APC remains a strong and vibrant political party in Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a statement by Auwal D. Sankara, the Jigawa state's Commissioner for Special Duties, on Thursday.

According to Sankara, Buhari also assured the governors of his support and commitment towards the development of their states and the country as a whole. 

"I appreciate your efforts in promoting good governance and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people. 

"I urge you to continue to work hard and ensure that the APC remains strong and vibrant," Buhari said. 

Speaking on behalf of the governors, governor Bagudu of Kebbi State expressed gratitude to the President for his leadership and support. 

He assured the President of the continued commitment of the forum towards ensuring good governance and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people.

"We appreciate your leadership and support for our forum. 

"We assure you of our continued commitment to the promotion of good governance and the delivery of democracy dividends to the people of our respective states."

Also speaking, Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar, said: "We are here to assure Mr. President of our continued loyalty and commitment towards the development of our states and the country as a whole. 

"We will continue to work together with the President and other stakeholders towards the progress and development of Nigeria."
