President Bola Tinubu held his first meeting with the state governors of the federation on Wednesday at the State House in Abuja.
Since his swearing-in as the nation's leader, Tinubu has been up and about in the Federal Capital Territory, choosing his Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The meeting on Wednesday reportedly kicked off at about 12:36 pm and present was the governors of Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, Abia, Imo, Bauchi.
Representing their states were deputy governors of Edo and Niger.
Those noticeably absent before the meeting started were the governors of Katsina, Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Ekiti, Sokoto, and Ondo.
Also present at the convergence were Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
