Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has totally banned motorcycles popularly called okada in the state.
The ban is to take effect from June 1, 2022, on the state’s highways, Surulere, Lekki, Lagos Island, and others.
Sanwo-Olu made the announcement after a meeting with top officers of Lagos Police Command at the Lagos House, Ikeja on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Area Commanders and DPOs.
