Shettima: Inuwa Yahaya Says Tinubu Made A Better Choice

The governor of Gombe state, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has praised the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his choice of Kashim Shettima as running mate.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director-General, Press Affairs to the governor, Ismaila Uba Misilli. 

Yahaya said the choice was a golden decision to guarantee the party's victory during the 2023 election. 

He further described Shettima as a great asset to the party whose loyalty is unshakable.

Yahaya said, "Asiwaju will not have made a better choice."

He added that, "The former Borno State Governor is a highly cerebral, eloquent, competent, courageous and cosmopolitan leader who has succeeded in building bridges, reputation and friendships across the country; and I believe he has the capacity, acumen and political sagacity to deputise the Jagaban". 

The governor further congratulated the vice-presidential anointed candidate on his selection while noting his capacity and experiences in governance.

While expressing optimism over the party's victory come 2023, he said, "The Tinubu/Shettima ticket is an excellent combination that has already given APC an upper hand and set the opposition off-balance as we approach the elections". 

Yahaya who reassured his state's support to the Tinubu/Shettima ticket said, "Gombe is a strong APC base and we shall deploy our political arsenals to ensure sweeping victory for our great party at all levels ".

He further reiterated his commitment to ensuring the party's victory come 2023 elections.
