Singer Tems has spoken on the relationship she has with one-half of the Nigerian rap duo, Show Dem Camp, Wale Davies a.k.a. Tec.
In an interview with Rolling Stone shortly after her Grammy win, Tems described Tec as his brother and a family.
She claimed that Tec is usually by her side in the studio and that they are constantly working together.
“Tec is my brother. He is family. I am always with him and my other manager, Muyiwa.
“We always love to work together; songs, jamming. He’s always in the studio with me,” Tems said.
Tec is one-half of Tems’ management team.
Their relationship dates back to 2018 when the rapper heard Tems’ first song 'Mr Rebel' through a mutual friend and requested a meeting.
They have also parlayed their relationship into collaborations as they did on 2019’s 'Palm Wine Express'.
Muyiwa Awoniyi is the other half of Tems’ managerial roster.
Known for his eponymous podcast The Donawon Pod, he has interviewed artists like Naeto C, Sarz, Oxlade, and Omah Lay.
