Three people were reported injured when a helicopter crashed into the Atlantic ocean off a Miami Beach coast.
The fire department said on Saturday, that the crash occurred around 1:10 p.m and the Miami Beach Police said in a tweet that the aircraft dived into the water dangerously close to the packed beach.
The Miami Beach Fire Department added that there were three people on the helicopter and the pilot is said to be in stable condition. The two passengers were in the backseat and have broken backs.
The fire department's spokesperson added that the people in the water at the time of the crash were not injured.
Parts of the beach area were closed, and the Federal Aviation Administration were also at the scene, but the cause of the crash is to be investigated as it remains unknown.
