Despite the incessant insecurity plaguing several parts of Nigeria, it is worthy to state that some parts of the country are still very secure and peaceful to work and live in.

Where in Nigeria are the better living places? When we turn on the news each day, we are inundated with accounts of murders, abductions, rapes, insecurity and other acts of violence around the nation.

Foreigners, including some Nigerians, have developed the notion that the nation is very hazardous and unpleasant to live in as a result.

Even if there are dangerous areas of Nigeria, some of these places are still thought to be the safest to live in.

Below are the 10 best places to live in the country:

One of the nicest cities in Nigeria to live in is Calabar, which is located in Cross River State.

In terms of natural beauty, Cross River is one of Nigeria's most naturally endowed states.

2. Uyo

Uyo in Akwa Ibom is yet another fantastic location to call home.

People in the city frequently vie with Calabar for the title of Nigeria's most picturesque city, which makes sense considering that the city's road system is well-designed, free of potholes, and equipped with solar street lighting.

There are a couple of 3-5 star hotels nearby, and the environment is stunning. A stadium worth billions of naira is also present in Akwa Ibom.

3. Lagos

Lagos is Nigeria's most prosperous state and constantly performs well, thus it makes sense that it is referred to as the "state of excellence."

The commercial hub of Nigeria is known as "Eko" in common parlance.

Lagos economy is broad, comprising the manufacturing, transportation, construction, service, wholesale, and retail sectors, in contrast to other states that only rely on oil earnings.

Do you relish attempting fun things? The finest adventure for you would then be living in Lagos. It is the most populated yet smallest state in Nigeria.

In addition to everything else you could want, there are stars, theatres, the best restaurants, businesses, building structures, road networks, retail malls, nightlife, investments, opulent housing, stunning beaches, access to top-notch schools, the best marketplaces, and more.

4. Port Harcourt

Unquestionably, Port Harcourt is among the top cities in Nigeria to travel to and potentially settle down in.

Make your way to Rivers, an area of beauty and wonder that draws thousands of travellers each year, if you appreciate beauty and adventure.

From her people to her surroundings (places), from her culture to her surroundings (cultures), from her food to her drinks, from bars to gardens, not to mention their vibrant culture in costumes and dance.

5. Abuja

Similar to Lagos in terms of diversity and hustlers, all of Nigeria's decision-makers are located in Abuja, the nation's capital, which is a well-planned city.

Because the Federal Republic's President (Aso Villa), federal lawmakers, the leaders of all of the country's security agencies, and ministries in charge of the development of the nation's infrastructure all reside in the city.

Due to the presence of these powerful people, there is a well-organized security structure, reasonable ease of access to human necessities (such as water, housing, and health), and good provision for good road networks, leisure centres, and all other social amenities that contribute to the density of a city.

6. Owerri

Owerri is one of the nicest places in Nigeria to settle down. Here, you may find Oguta Lake, the Ada Palm Plantation, the Mbari Cultural and Art Center, and many more tourist attractions.

It is indeed a beautiful city with thriving nightlife and lighting. The structures complement the appealing natural components and the carefully planned landscape.

7. Kaduna

Anyone interested in northern culture must visit another city with the same name as its state.

In the North, Kano competes with Kaduna despite being a greater commercial city.

It is a destination that is included on the list because it is crowded with people from all over the nation, and you may experience every culture and custom there.

There are lovely structures there as well as a sizable market where you can get anything you need for daily life.

The fact that it has the most educational institutions in the nation is what makes it the "centre of learning" in the first place.

8. Asaba

The capital city of Delta State, Asaba is known to be home to most Nollywood productions, making it a tourist attraction for many.

Even though it may not have some structural edifices in Lagos and Abuja, this city is one that is mostly tranquil and beautiful in its own way.

9. Ibadan

Ibadan is the largest city in terms of land area in the nation and is the place to be if you are seeking a cheap area to reside in the southwest of Nigeria.

Ibadan University Zoo, Agodi Zoological Garden, Mbari Arts Center, and traditional celebrations like Egungun and Ode-Ibadan are just a few of the attractions in the lovely state of Oyo.

The state capital of Ibadan is heavily populated and receives a lot of tourists each year.

10. Enugu

Enugu is often referred to as "the coal city". In contrast to its neighbours, this state has developed quickly, and its capital city is stunning, with a lovely topography and landscape as well as excellent building designs.

It is the location of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, one of Nigeria's top universities (UNN).

Enugu is the name of both the state and the city since it is the centre of the state's developmental efforts.
