In Nigeria, we have women who are extremely wealthy and can go head-to-head with some of the richest men in the country.

These women own multimillion-dollar businesses and enterprises in several sectors. 

This article sort to give detailed information on the top seven richest women in Nigeria. Our ranking goes from descending to ascending order.

Bimbo Alase, a businesswoman of Yoruba descent was born in 1962. She is an investor, businesswoman, and entrepreneur. 

In London, she pursued an education at the Regent Academy of Design and Fine Arts as well as Pitman College.

She also holds an interior design post-graduate certificate from London Design School. She serves as the CEO and Chairman of Leatherworld.

Her business, Leatherworld, is well-known for producing high-end furniture in Nigeria.

5. Stella Okoli ($800 Million Net Worth)

Stella Chinyelu Okoli was born in 1944. She is a pharmacist and business owner from Nigeria.

She attended Ogidi Girls Secondary School to finish her secondary education after finishing basic school.

After that, she was sent overseas to study Pharmacy at the University of Bradford in the UK, where she earned a Bachelor's degree.

Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, a well-known pharmaceutical company that has created over 30 medications currently used in both Nigeria and Africa, was founded by Dr Stella Okoli.

She founded her pharmaceutical company in Nigeria in January 1977. The company has produced more than 50 different products since it began.

4. Fifi Ejindu ($850 Million Net Worth)

Fifi Ejindu, also known as Princess Fifi Ekanem Ejindu, is a Nigerian philanthropist, architect, and businesswoman of Efik origin, Cross River. She was born in Ibadan.

She serves as the Prestigious Icons Club of Dubai's Grand Patron. Residential villas and estate design and construction are the main specialities of her subsidiary company, Starcrest Associates.

The architect from Abuja drives a 130 million Naira Rolls-Royce Ghost that she purchased for her birthday.

3. Daisy Danjuma ($900 Million Net Worth)

Senator Daisy Danjuma comes to mind in particular because of the part she played in promoting child protection while serving as the head of the ECOWAS Parliament's committee on women's and children's rights and as the chair of the senate's committee on women's issues and youth development. 

Between 1977 and 1978, Daisy worked as an executive assistant for Nigerian Acceptances Limited (NAL).

From 1982 to 1992, she served as the Nigerian Television Authority's (NTA) Company Secretary and Legal Adviser.

She was elected to serve as Edo South's senator in the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2003 to 2007.

On this list of the top 10 richest Nigerian women, Hajia Bola Shagaya comes in second. She is from Ilorin, Kwara State.

She studied economics at Armstrong College in California and American accounting in the United States.

She worked alone to create both her stellar profile and her network. She invests heavily in oil and gas companies across Africa because she is a passionate fashionista and investor in the industry.

Shagaya has two Rolls-Royces, a Phantom and a Ghost, worth a combined $90 million.

In addition to her private jet, which is valued at over $30 million, Bola Shagaya is worth over $950 million.

1. Folorunsho Alakija ($1 Billion Net Worth)


Folorunsho Alakija is an active philanthropist and businesswoman from Nigeria.

As Vice Chairman of various businesses, she is responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day management of FAMFA Oil Limited, the oil exploration and production company owned by her family.

She serves as vice chairman of Dayspring Property Development Company Limited, a global developer of real estate and as vice chairman of the renowned printing firm Digital Reality Print Ltd.

She has firmly established herself among the richest women in Nigeria today with an estimated current net worth of around $1 billion.
