The United Arab Emirates has imposed stringent conditions on Nigerians seeking visas as a recent cult clash between rival cult groups of the Eiye and Aiye confraternities in Dubai exacerbated the situation.

This is as the cultists, a group of men with machetes were seen yelling in an apartment parking lot, chasing one another and damaging public property.

The police had said in a statement; “The Dubai Police has arrested a group of people, who were engaged in a heated argument in their residence at late hours.

"The group of African people appeared in a viral video on social media platforms while fighting in a public place and damaging properties."

The police added that a criminal case had been registered against the suspects, and they would be referred to the public prosecution for further action.
