VIDEO: Lagos BRT Driver Narrates How Bamise Ayanwole Was Kidnapped

Lagos BRT driver Andrew Nice who was arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of Bamise Ayanwole has spoken on how she was kidnapped in his bus.

Nice was earlier arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday shortly after the lifeless body of Bamise was found.

Speaking to Punch after his arrest, Nice said he has no connection with the armed men and while the deceased was crying for help, he could do nothing.

Out of fear, he ran away at the slightest chance he had instead of reporting the incident to the police.

“I picked her from Chevron, and the other three guys at …when those guys showed me weapons as I was inside, I couldn’t be myself anymore.

“Fear came in so whatever the man with the gun told me, I did. I followed that Carter Bridge, that overhead bridge. They ordered me to stop there, they said I should open the door.

"When I opened the door, they came down. They now start dragging her. When I saw that she was crying for help, actually, I was helpless.”

Recall that Ayanwole went missing while returning to Ota from Ajah on February 26 when she boarded a BRT bus with number 240257 going to Oshodi at about 7 pm at Chevron Bus-Stop.

The victim, who worked as a fashion designer in Ajah spent her weekends in Ota, Ogun State with her sister, had sent some voice notes to a friend when she sensed danger on the bus.
