Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have staged a protest, calling for the sack of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu.
The protest comes on the heels of a similar demonstration in Asaba, the capital of Delta State on Tuesday, where citizens showed solidarity with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
Toeing the same path, Abuja residents on Tuesday afternoon were captured in a video urging the authorities to sack Yakubu as they carried placards expressing their demands.
The protesters also urged the commission to use the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) for the transmission of the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly results.
Just like i predicted, it has started?
Protesters rock Abuja as they demand for the sack of INEC chairman and also the use of BVAS for the election.

The INEC chairman was accused of PDP Chieftain Dino Melaye of being determined to rig the elections after the latter stormed out of the collation centre in Abuja on Monday.
Joining the main opposition party in showing their displeasure with the results being announced by INEC, Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) called for fresh polls on Tuesday, saying Yakubu should step aside.
