President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that security agents have been given the free mandate to end the 'madness' caused by bandits and other terror groups escalating the attacks on Nigerians.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu in a statement on Tuesday also said the President sympathises with those who lost their loved ones in the recent barbaric terrorist attacks in Sokoto, Kaduna and Plateau states.
Buhari made the statement on Tuesday when he reviewed the situation following reports on the loss of several lives in the attacks.
“We have given security forces full freedom to deal with, and bring to end this madness.
“I condemn these barbaric attacks...my thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly,” said Buhari.
There has been a recent rise in some states including Kaduna, Sokoto and the capital territory Abuja.
Most recently, terrorists have according to the Nigeria Security Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) been gathering momentum to launch attacks on other states including Zamfara, Sokoto and Lagos.
