Meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp is now introducing an upgrade that will enable users to delete messages up to two days after they were received.
On its Twitter account, WhatsApp made public the change to the deletion of transmitted communications.
Messages sent in private or group conversations can now be revoked by users after two days.
Users of WhatsApp will have two days and twelve hours to remove a message once they send it. This limit was once only one hour, eight minutes, and sixteen seconds.
All a user has to do to erase a sent message in WhatsApp is tap and hold the message for a few seconds, then tap the "Delete" button.
WhatsApp has also introduced new privacy options, including screenshot blocking and developing a feature that will allow group administrators to erase messages from any users.
