Led by Larry Ettah as Chairman and Omolara Elemide as Managing Director/CEO, the company specializes in manufacturing and selling a variety of paint finishers for the coatings sector in Nigeria. Its prominent brands include Dulux and Caplux.

CAP Plc's coatings range comprises products like vinyl silk, vinyl matt, vinyl soft sheen, eggshell, high gloss, weathershield masonry, and special effect finishes. Emulsions, gloss, and textured variants are marketed under its Caplux brand. The distribution and sale of its products are facilitated through Dulux Trade and Caplux outlets strategically located in major towns and cities across Nigeria. Additionally, the company produces a fire protection range, featuring fire retardants, fire retardant coatings, fire stopping materials, and fire extinguishers.

In a strategic move, Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc, along with Portland Paints & Products Nigeria Plc, both subsidiaries of UAC of Nigeria Plc, is in the process of executing a merger deal. This consolidation is poised to create Nigeria's largest paint and chemical company by market capitalization. The merger, which has been in progress for over a year, aims to establish a more significant entity operating under the name CAP Plc upon completion. The proposed merger is anticipated to deliver substantial value to CAP's shareholders, aligning with the company's strategic growth objectives by creating a larger entity with an expanded product portfolio, more corporate-owned brands, and diversified revenues, as outlined in the scheme of merger obtained from the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
