Geregu Power PLC operates as a power generation company based in Nigeria, primarily focusing on electric power generation and the sale of electricity through the National Grid of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET).
The power plant, boasting a total installed capacity of approximately 435 megawatts (MW), comprises three simple cycle natural gas-fired SIEMENS V94.2 STG5-2000E gas turbine generator units. These turbine units, namely GT11, GT12, and GT13, are individually designed to produce 145 MW at 15.75KV. The power is stepped up to 330kV through a 173.6MVA Power Transformer. Notably, Geregu Power PLC's operations contribute significantly, accounting for an average of 10% of Nigeria's total power generation.Geregu Power PLC is listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (Nigeria Exchange Group) with the ticker symbol GEREGU.
