Lasaco Assurance Plc was incorporated on 20th December 1979 under the Companies Decree of 1968. It was granted License on the 7th July 1980 and Commenced operations on 1st August 1980 with an authorized and fully paid-up share capital of N500, 000.00.
The company then changed its name to LASACO Assurance Plc in July 1988 in compliance with Decree No. 25 of 1988.
The company became a Public Limited Liability Company (Plc) in 1991. Then in 2007 Recapitalization to transact Life & Non-Life with Assets of N8.26b commenced.
The company has two subsidiaries, which are
LASACO Life Ltd, LASACO Properties Ltd.
