NIN: Over 200m Nigerians to get enrolled in next two years - NIMC

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has assured that all Nigerians will be issued with the National Identification Number (NIN) over the next two years.

BREAKING: Inflation rate surges to 33.2 per cent

Nigeria’s inflation rate increased to 33.2% for the month of March 2024 according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

TCN steps up effort to eliminate national grid collapses

TCThe Transmission Company of Nigeria, on Wednesday, revealed that it has deployed a new technology, the Generation Dip/Loss Detection System, (GLDS) as part of efforts to stabilise the grid.

TCN explained that the GLDS “plays a pivotal role in detecting and responding to sudden drops or dips in power generation across the network.” Read more here.

New electricity tariff beyond what we can modify— IBEDC

Engr Toyin Akinyosoye, the Regional Head of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, in Ilorin, Kwara State, has disclosed that the new electricity billing tariff (225/KWh) for customers in Band A is beyond what any power distribution company, can modify.

Receiving the state Commissioner for Energy, Engr Abdulazeez Kola Abdulganiy, in his office in Ilorin, the IBEDC’s regional head, appealed to customers to accept the new development in good faith. Read more here.
